Dave,
I have a perfect solution for you. We have propriotary pipes that we make that would improve the sound and look for your ROD. The stock pipes weight about 65lbs while our pipes only weight about 10lbs. I have all the Dyno and mapping for them also. With our pipes and map, you will put anywhere between 116 to 119 to the rear wheel. The pipes and the power commander module will set you back for about $400. I can put the pipes on for you as I have a full shop here in San Jose. You'll just need to purchase the power comander unit. I'll post some pictures of the pipes on here for you to see. However, if you work in San Jose, I can even drop by to show them to you and for you to hear how awesome they sound. Let me know what you'd like to do.

I put on the Screaming Eagles and then drilled them. Sound amazing. Just my two cents. Easy to do and changes the sound, yet doesn't require any remapping, etc. Later

I would go with V-modding them. The dealership I work at has done a few and they sound is deep and throaty. I hope to have mine done this spring. I love the look of the stock pipes - they have a fluidity that matches the rest of the bike.

modded mine at the house then fattened it up with the dobeck tuner and it runs great

If you want an awesome sound and a really good performance gain then get the Thunderheader, a power commander PCIII or Harley tuner and a K&N filter. You wont regret it either! You will be heard by everyone though when you are coming and going!! LOL
