Harley Davidson VROD - The Fastest Production Harley

I currently have an 18 X 9 inch rear rim made by Eurocomponents. I currently have a 240 tire on and I want to install a 280 METZELER XXL TIRE. Can this be done? Does anyone know?

No im not sure yet but if you find out let me know cus i want to change my 240 to at least a 280 tire. The 300 kit seems cool but with all the horse power and torque of the v-rod i feel it is asking for problems. The reason why????/ just thinking about how you have to extend ur pullies and drives. has to put alot of wear on it.

I did some research. and sucks but, no it wont work. not only is ur rim to narrow for the big 280 tire but your belt would also rub. in order to put a 280 tire on a v-rod you need to buy a swingarm, new rim, pully extentions, and a few other stuff. looking at about 4 grand for a cheep change over. the biggest you can go on that rim and not rub ur belt drive is a 250....

You can do a 260. Try the Metzler 260, thats what I had on mine. Need a new one. OOPS forgot to say that's a Night Rod Special the 260 will fit on.
