5+ gallon tank for VRods

VMOD (www.v-mod.com) makes this replacement tank. Would take my '03 from 3.4 to 5.25 gallons. Huge convencience for my usual riding, and starting to consider a Route 66 trip next summer. Current 100 mile range wouldn't cut it I don't think.

Anyone install it yet? Jonathon? Supposed to be 6-8 hour job for the first timer, but suspect that is optimistic looking at the instructions (attached).

Clearly would void the rest of my extended warranty, which has been more than worthwhile over the last year :(

Looking for any thoughts if you have experience with this, input, or opinions.

There are several makers of 5 gallon tanks. Some better than others. Before you select one it might be a good idea to check the experience others have had with their installations. I have a 2007, so don't have any experience I can share.

Thanks.. the '03 is gone in favor of an 09 Muscle.
It has the 5 gallon tank (or 4.6 or 4.7 anyway).
But my usual riding style only improves the tank range
from ~100 to maybe ~125 !! Oh well, would do better still
on long highway rides..

Don't know about voiding the warranty - they really can't as long as the change you made isn't the cause of the problem you are trying to correct under warranty.
